‘Lovestained’ is the first single from Hope Tala since her resounding Starry Ache EP, released last year. The new track has suitably arrived with the dawning of spring, and to soundtrack those cherry blossoms and gently rising temperatures there’s bossa nova undertones paired eloquently with RnB beats. Over this laidback composition dreamily floats Hope Tala’s natural vocals, which sing of “the grey area between infatuation and love – when you just want the person you’re interested in to give you a little bit more of themselves so that you can let yourself fall for them.” We’ll be hearing more of those universal themes and Bossa Nova styles on Hope Tala’s forthcoming EP. - Hannah Thacker
